Tourism Partners

Golden Plains Shire Council’s Economic Development Unit maintains a number of active Tourism Industry Partnerships to assist in development and promotion of the tourism industry within Golden Plains and the broader regions.

Regional Tourism Partnerships

Golden Plains Shire Council actively collaborates with key regional tourism organisations such as Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine (TGGB) and Tourism Midwest Victoria (TMV) to promote the region as a premier travel destination. Through these partnerships, the council helps showcase the Shire's natural beauty, historic attractions, and vibrant local culture. These collaborations enhance the visibility of Golden Plains, attract visitors, and support the growth of the local tourism industry, ensuring that both businesses and travellers benefit from the region's unique offerings.

Examples of projects currently being worked on include the Victorian Goldfields World Heritage Bid and Tourism Midwest Victoria’s Agritourism Development Program.

Joining ATDW increases visibility, helps attract more customers, and boosts your business’s online presence. It connects businesses to key travel and tourism platforms, offering the opportunity to reach both domestic and international travellers. Membership enhances your ability to be found by people planning their next trip, making it a valuable tool for any tourism-related business.
