bush reserve in Teesdale
Chinaman's Lagoon was initially constructed to supply water to a stand pipe near the Mechanics institute (hall) for the use of the town's people. It is now the feature of an 8ha nature reserve. There are tracks though the reserve for people to walk around and enjoy.
The reserve is managed by DEECA, with assistance from a local committee of volunteers.
