MHIG is a community organisation committed to collecting, researching and sharing an understanding of the history of Meredith and surrounding district.
- To encourage the study of local history, by establishing a museum, library and archives.
- To promote the preservation, organization of authentic historical records
- To undertake historical research into people, sites, buildings, events, issues and written materials that represents Meredith & District
- To hold workshops and exhibitions to share the above to the public.
