Calling all young bands in Golden Plains – get ready to unleash your music! This is your chance to shine at Battle of the Bands 2025!
We’re on the lookout for bands made up of young people aged 12 to 25 across Golden Plains to battle it out on Saturday 26 April from 1 to 4pm at Turtle Bend Reserve in Teesdale.
Presented by the FReeZA Youth Events Crew, with support from Council’s Youth Development Team, Battle of the Bands features young up and coming bands showcasing a variety of genres on the centre stage.
The Battle of the Bands competition is funded by FReeZA, a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, smoke, vaping and alcohol-free music and cultural events for other young people. This is an all ages, fully supervised event with strictly no pass outs. Food options will be available at the event.
How You Can Be Involved
Expressions of Interest are open from Monday 3 March to 5pm, Friday 14 March 2025. Expressions of Interest can be submitted via this page below. Hard copies are also available at Council’s Customer Hubs, 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn and 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale.
