About
At its meeting on 22 November, Council Adopted the Golden Plains Transport Connections Study.
The Golden Plains Transport Connections Study has identified current and future transport needs in Golden Plains Shire. The study will inform the future design of Council’s community transport services to ensure that new services increase connectivity and contribute towards a network of accessible locations. It will also provide evidence-based data to support Council as it advocates for greater transport connections in the Shire.
The study will includes research and engagement with key stakeholders, alongside community feedback to report on the existing and potential transport services, user demographics, journey purpose, costs, key barriers and how services are promoted.
Engagement Update
Council sought feedback from all community members on their current transport needs, the transport services currently available and the barriers that may impact them accessing these services.
Community members were invited to complete the Golden Plains Transport Connections survey and participate in a Golden Plains Transport Connections workshop during the engagement period from Wednesday 16 March to Thursday 5 May, 2022.
