About
Golden Plains Shire Council has developed a concept design for upgrading the Play Space at Shelford Recreation Reserve and invites community members to share their thoughts on the proposed design.
The concept design includes new play equipment such as an in-ground trampoline, standing spinner with rubber surround, climbing logs, giant basket swing, double playground swing, large treehouse playground tower, bush cubby, and scramble logs and boulders.
Additional features include street furniture, pathways, a gravel carpark with markings and accessible parking bays, an accessible picnic setting, and a 3-metre-high ball barrier fence to the oval side of the Play Space.
How You Can Be Involved
The concept design of the proposed Play Space upgrade is on public exhibition from Wednesday 3 July to 9am, Wednesday 24 July 2024, with community members invited to provide commentary on the proposed design.
The concept design can be viewed on Council’s website via this page and it will also be available at Council’s Customer Hubs, 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn, and 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale.
