About

Golden Spaces is a free community-based program for group art exhibitions. The aim of Golden Spaces is to encourage the broader community’s participation in and access to the arts in a local setting while providing professional development opportunities for emerging and established artists within the Shire.

Spanning across 3 locations the exhibitions will be launched at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre then travel up to Smythesdale to be put on display at The Well, before returning to Bannockburn to be shown at the Golden Plains Civic Centre.

There will be 2 opportunities to apply for Golden Spaces throughout the calendar year.
Each exhibition will run for 12 months providing an opportunity for artists to exhibit their work to local and visiting audiences.

The program is designed to promote the art of local creatives and provide them with the experience of exhibiting  and selling their work. As part of the exhibition program there will be a formal launch with artist talks and an accompanying catalogue.
