Berrybank Wind Farm continues to partner with Golden Plains Shire Council to deliver the 2025 Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program. Applications for this year’s grants program will open on Thursday 1 May and close at 2pm, Monday 2 June 2025.
The Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program provides funding opportunities to support local community, business, and tourism events and projects in Golden Plains Shire. There is $70,000 of funding available for this program in 2025.
Community and business groups or organisations are eligible to apply for grant funding in two categories:
- Tourism projects
- Economic Development projects
If the applicant is a community group, the applicant must seek funding for amounts exceeding $10,000. Applicants can submit multi-year applications for both categories, for a maximum of three years.
Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Sarah Hayden said the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants program provided important grant funding opportunities to support local groups.
“Council has again partnered with the Berrybank Wind Farm to deliver this important community grants program which promotes local economic development and tourism activities,” Cr Hayden said.
“Council also strongly encourages potential applicants to contact Council's Community Development and Grants Officer before applying for a grant. This helps ensure all requirements are met for their application.”
