Bannockburn Skate Park Upgrade Commences

Bannockburn Skate Park July 2024

Bannockburn

Council is excited to announce that starting 15 July 2024, the Bannockburn Skate Park will undergo significant enhancements including the construction of a brand new skate bowl and crucial drainage remediation works.

This project will deliver a dynamic recreational and social space that meets the needs of a rapidly growing community. Specifically, a multipurpose skate bowl will be developed, along with an inviting community space inclusive of street furniture, a BBQ, shelter, facility lighting and connecting pathways. These upgrades are part of our ongoing commitment to provide top-quality recreational facilities for the Golden Plains Shire community.

The park will be closed from Monday 15 July until November 2024 whilst we undertake these works. During the closure, we encourage skaters to visit the nearby skate park at Meredith Recreation Reserve which is a 20-minute drive by car.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we make these exciting improvements. Council looks forward to unveiling the new and improved skate park at the end of the year.

The Bannockburn Skate Park Upgrade is a partnership project, with an $805,000 contribution from the State Government and $184,548 from Golden Plains Shire Council.
