The Central Highlands Regional Partnership, of which Golden Plains Shire is a part, is pleased to support the 2018 Digital Innovation Festival – or ‘DIF’ – which kicks off on Friday 24 August and runs until Friday 7 September.
The DIF is an initiative funded under the Victorian Government’s $45 million Connecting Regional Communities Program, and focuses on addressing the Central Highlands Regional Partnership’s key priority of Digital Connectivity.
The DIF aims to bring local stakeholders together to improve and accelerate technology adoption and innovation, including enhancing digital skills through practical workshops, conferences and seminars across a range of technology topics.
The DIF also aims to stimulate and celebrate Victoria's culture of tech innovation and entrepreneurship and nurture the State’s growing regional digital economy – showcasing the unique talents and ingenuity of Victoria’s regional and rural entrepreneurs, start-ups, digital superstars and students.
In addition, the festival provides a great opportunity to visit and explore Federation University’s new technology hubs at Ballarat Tech School, Ballarat Hackerspace and the Flecknoe Building in Albert Street, Ballarat.
