Footpath Improvements
Roads & Transport

Council will soon commence work to improve and repair footpaths at locations within Golden Plains Shire.

Haddon

Work to improve the gravel footpath along Ross Creek-Haddon Road between Thomas Road and Nintingbool Road will begin on Monday 19 December 2022 and is expected to finish by Friday 23 December 2022.

The footpath will be temporarily closed to the public while work is completed, and there will be no impact to traffic.

Inverleigh

Work to repair flood damage to the footpath north of the intersection of Cambridge Street and Newman Street will begin on Tuesday 13 December 2022 and is expected to finish by Friday 23 December 2022.

The footpath will be temporarily closed while work is completed.

Rokewood

Work to install a gravel footpath at Ferrars Road (from the information board to the public toilet) will begin on Thursday 15 December 2022 and is expected to finish on Friday 16 December 2022.

Some parking spaces will be unavailable during works, however there will be no impact on traffic.

Council regularly works to identify upgrade projects, like these footpath works, through hazard inspections, accident statistics and feedback from the community, as well as in locations where there are increased traffic movements around schools, recreation and community facilities or new developments that create increased pedestrian movements.

To report a footpath or road issue, please contact Council’s Customer Experience Team on 5220 7111 or report it online at goldenplains.vic.gov.au.
