Haddon is set to begin its planning and engagement phase in the most recent round of Council’s Community Planning Program.

Haddon Community Coordinators, guided by Non Profit Training (NPT), will start to consult with their local community to begin determining priority projects for their new four-year Community Plan.

Council’s Community Planning program provides towns in Golden Plains Shire a framework to identify and prioritise projects for their local community and include these projects in a four-year plan. Community Plans help to build visibility for grant funding opportunities.

Through a series of surveys, interviews and public meetings, Coordinators will actively engage with local residents to gather valuable insights and preferences. This will help define priority projects for the plan which may include upgrades to local infrastructure, advocacy projects and support for community groups.

Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from Haddon residents and community groups to participate in the Community Planning program.

If you are interested in joining Haddon's Community Planning Program, come along to the information session at Haddon Community Learning Centre on Tuesday 30 July from 1 to 2.30pm.
