Get Involved - Community Planning in Rokewood

Community
Rokewood

Rokewood is the latest town to begin its planning and engagement phase in the most recent round of Council’s Community Planning Program.

Rokewood Community Coordinators, guided by Non Profit Training (NPT), will start to consult with their local community to begin determining priority projects for their new four-year Community Plan.

Through a series of surveys, interviews and public meetings, Coordinators will actively engage with local residents to gather valuable insights and preferences.

This will help define priority projects for the plan which may include upgrades to local infrastructure, advocacy projects and support for community groups.

Council’s Community Planning program provides towns in Golden Plains Shire a framework to identify and prioritise projects for their local community and include these projects in a four-year plan. Community Plans help to build visibility for grant funding opportunities.

Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from Rokewood residents and community groups to participate in the Community Planning program.

If you are interested in joining Rokewood’s Community Planning Program, come and meet the current Community Coordinators at the Rokewood Community Health Centre on Wednesday 29 May from 4 to 6.30pm.

For more information, please contact Council’s Community Partnerships Officer at [email protected] or call 5220 7111.
