Council noted submissions to its Draft Budget 2024/25 at a special meeting at Golden Plains Civic Centre in Bannockburn last night.

Following a period of public exhibition from 24 April to 20 May, Council formally received and noted 30 written submissions which will be considered prior to the adoption of the Budget 2024/25 later this month.

Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham said engaging and consulting with the community on the Draft Budget was an important part of the process.

“Thank you to those community members who took time to contribute to the Budget progress by writing a submission. Council will now take the time to consider these submissions before the next Council meeting,” Cr Cunningham said.

“We are pleased so many people have actively engaged in this year’s Budget process and we look forward to providing further engagement opportunities for the community to help shape future Budgets.”

Council’s Finance team will now make final amendments and updates to the Draft Budget 2024/25 before it is presented to Councillors for adoption at the Council meeting on Tuesday 25 June 2024.
