Golden Plains Shire Council has filled the seventh position in its Councillor group after Gavin Gamble was declared a Councillor Elect following the Victorian Electoral Commission countback on Monday 13 January.
Following the resignation of Cr Lachlan Glen in December 2024, the Victorian Electoral Commission held the countback to fill the Extraordinary Vacancy for Golden Plains Shire Council.
Mr Gamble will join Mayor Cr Sarah Hayden, Cr Emma Robbins, Cr Des Phelan, Cr Brett Cunningham, Cr Helena Kirby and Cr Owen Sharkey as a Councillor for Golden Plains Shire once he takes the Oath or Affirmation of Office.
Mr Gamble has previously served as a Councillor for Golden Plains Shire including a term as Mayor 2021/22.
