International Day of People with Disability is celebrated on Sunday 3 December.
While there are around 3800 people with a permanent disability and 1300 with a temporary disability in Golden Plains, the whole community is welcome to join people with a disability to celebrate the day at two upcoming events.
Around 88% of disabilities are not visible and can be one the person is born with or acquired through ageing, accident or illness. Get involved and help challenge the myths, improve awareness and take positive action to change inclusion and accessibility for people with disability.
The whole community is welcome to join people with a disability to celebrate the many contributions they make to Australian life. Events to be involved in:
Defiant Lives. Feature length documentary about the rise and fight of the disability rights movement.
