The Department of Transport and Planning has advised that works to resurface 1.2km of Wallace Street (Midland Highway) in Meredith will start on Sunday 12 May. The resurfacing will extend from Mercer Street to Campion Road, providing a smoother, safer journey for all road users.

Works will take place between 7pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday nights, for two weeks from 12 May, weather permitting.

Single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/hr will be in place during work hours. There will also be temporary partial closures of intersections along Wallace Street during work hours and motorists are encouraged to follow signs indicating local detour routes.

Fulton Hogan is completing these works on behalf of the Department of Transport and Planning.

Drivers are reminded to travel safely, obey reduced speed limits and the directions of traffic controllers, and be considerate of road workers and other traffic.
