
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) finalised the vote count this afternoon and declared the seven councillors-elect who will form the Golden Plains Shire Council.
Golden Plains Shire Council welcomes the following councillors-elect who will represent Golden Plains Shire for the 2024-2028 term:
- Lachlan Glen
- Sarah Hayden
- Des Phelan
- Brett Cunningham
- Emma Robbins
- Helena Kirby
- Owen Sharkey
Thank you to all 10 candidates who put themselves forward to represent the Golden Plains Shire at last month’s election.
The new Council will be sworn in at the Oath/Affirmation of Office Ceremony on Tuesday 12 November at 6pm, and the meeting to elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be held on Tuesday 19 November 2024 at 6pm. The Oath/Affirmation of Office Ceremony and the Mayor and Deputy Mayor Election meeting will both be livestreamed, with a link available at Council’s website on the day at goldenplains.vic.gov.au.
The first scheduled monthly Council Meeting of the 2024-2028 term will be held on Tuesday 26 November 2024, with the final meeting of the calendar year on Tuesday 17 December 2024. Both meetings will commence at 6pm and will be livestreamed with a link being made available at Council’s website closer to the date.
