Residents Invited to View Northern Streetscapes Concept Designs

Northern Streetscapes
Engagement

Golden Plains Shire Council residents are invited to review and provide general feedback on the updated concept designs for the Northern Streetscapes Framework Plan.

These designs reflect community input gathered during consultations in August and November 2024 and build upon previous concept designs.

As part of the consultation, residents are invited to attend an in-person information session on Monday 3 March from 10am to 12pm at The Well, 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale (registrations required). Alternatively, residents can provide general feedback via an online survey.

Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Sarah Hayden encourages community members to view the concept designs.

Thank you for joining us on this journey to create a sustainable Framework Plan that meets the needs of our northern communities.

Your input has been valuable as we’ve refined concept designs for this exciting project, and we are thrilled to be one step closer in making this project a reality.

I encourage residents to attend the information session to learn about the project’s progress and next steps, as we work towards construction.

The Northern Streetscapes Project is funded by $650,000 from Council and $650,000 from Berrybank Wind Farm.

Feedback is welcome from Monday 24 February to 5pm, Friday 14 March 2025. Details and materials are available online at goldenplains.vic.gov.au/consultations and at Council’s Customer Hubs, 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn, and 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale.

Following the consultation period, Council will move to develop the construction plans for Tender and delivery. Residents will be kept informed as this project progresses.
