Youth
Golden Plains Shire members of the Western Bulldogs Youth Leadership Project will be rolling out their community projects during August and September.
The Community Leadership Project is a key component of the program, and requires participants to select a community issue of interest and develop a small initiative designed to address the issue.
The group of 10 will deliver a trivia night to raise funds for the Taboo social enterprise, who support young women in developing countries; develop a local social support program for single parents, deliver sexual harassment and assault workshops in secondary schools; undertake youth homelessness advocacy and deliver a mental health awareness campaign.
