About the rebate
Golden Plains Shire residents were able to claim some of the cost of buying reusable products in four categories; reusable nappy products, reusable sanitary products, reusable incontinence products or reusable portable drinking containers.
The Reusable Products Rebate Program was aligned with priority areas in Council’s Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021-2025 including tackling climate change, improving mental health, advancing gender equality and sustainability.
This program was also aligned to Council’s Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2020-2023 objectives which include reducing the amount of waste we send to landfill by implementing waste management and minimisation practices that are innovative, effective and reflect best practice.
